On the island of Negros, the Kanlaon Volcano erupted once more on Thursday night at around 7 o’clock
The explosion they heard was really strong, according to Councilor Jigz Santiago of Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.
The councilor’s snapshot still shows the crater of the volcano, which looks to be on fire.
in a Brgy CCTV clip. Residents of Mansalanao in La Castellana town, Negros Occidental, were observed going outside and fled after the volcano erupted.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology stated in an alert that the Kanlaon Volcano’s moderately explosive eruption in the Negros Island Region is still going on.
Areas close to the Kanlaon volcano were already receiving ash as of Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
Another video showed a resident of Barangay Camandag in La Castellana town’s automobile and garage completely covered in ash.
Nine LGUs in Negros Occidental saw ash fall as a result of the volcano’s moderately explosive eruption last Thursday.
Ash emissions from Kanlaon are still occurring as of Friday; grayish plumes are rising around 1,000 meters above the peak and moving with the predominant winds.
Phivolcs is keeping a cautious eye out for any escalation, as evidenced by the volcano’s edifice remaining inflated, recorded volcanic earthquakes, and continuing gas emissions.
Over Mayon, Phivolcs kept Alert Level 3, which denotes a comparatively high degree of volcanic instability. Magma is at the crater in this state, and dangerous eruptions are still probable.
Due to the ongoing threat of PDCs, rockfalls, lava flows, and sudden explosive activity, the agency reaffirmed that the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) must remain completely off-limits. It is also recommended that people living in the extended hazard zones exercise caution, particularly in valleys and places where volcanic flows are likely to channel.
Tourists have been drawn to viewpoints outside the danger zone in Albay province by Mayon’s near-perfect cone and nighttime shimmering lava despite the current turmoil. However, local officials cautioned tourists to follow safety guidelines and follow evacuation orders in case the situation worsens.
