MANILA — The new movie’s teaser, which features the well-known couple Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, is making waves on the internet.

Since its publication on Monday, the official teaser for Star Cinema’s upcoming movie “Tayo sa Wakas” starring Pangilinan and Mariano has received 5.9 million views on YouTube and other media.

On Tuesday, February 17, ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema released the figure.

On May 27, the Cathy Garcia-Sampana-directed film “Tayo sa Wakas” will be released in cinemas.

After a time spent concentrating on their own personal development and solitary endeavors, it represents the tandem’s comeback to the big screen.

Their most recent appearance was in the 2022 film “An Inconvenient Love.”

The two previously talked about their excitement for their next project in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Pangilinan said, “We’ve been working together for some time, so I think this specific project is gonna be very special for me, for the both of us, and I just can’t wait to show the people what we have”

Mariano said, “It really feels like a comeback, right? We’re really excited, and the story that was told to us was really unexpected. That’s all I can say” 

Together, Pangilinan and Mariano appeared in television series including “He’s Into Her” and “Can’t Buy Me Love.”

Additionally, they acted in the 2021 movie “Love Is Color Blind.”

This collaboration marks the first major project for Donny and Belle since their previous hit series, which topped local ratings and received international streaming attention.

The full series is scheduled to premiere later this month, with trailers and behind-the-scenes content expected to be released weekly to sustain buzz. Industry watchers predict that the series could break streaming records for a local Philippine production, thanks to DonBelle’s strong fanbase and online engagement.

Fans are eagerly counting down the days, hoping for full-length episodes that showcase the pair’s signature chemistry and emotional storytelling.
