KATSEYE made their Grammy debut with two nominations and a live performance at the event, capping off the year in spectacular manner.
However, this is only just the beginning. During their guest visit on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, the band gave fans even more to anticipate, including new songs.
One of the six members of the international female group, Megan, stated, “We didn’t have a date yet, but stay tuned,” revealing very little to prevent spoilers. “We were preparing for a lot this coming year,” she said.
She added, “There’s going to be so much things that are so exciting”
When asked to sum up their new music in one word, Sophia, the Filipino leader of the group, responded, “Colorful.”
Lara motioned as though sipping tea, while Manon described it as “energetic,” Megan as “hot,” Yoonchae as “fun,” and Daniela as “fierce.”
The girls mentioned Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Miley Cyrus, and Blackpink’s Rosé as some of the Grammys stars they were most enamored with meeting throughout the conversation.
They also remembered that they had previously met Spice Girls member Melanie C, who gave them guidance on how to operate in a girl group.
Manon said, “She liked pulled us all in a room, just the six of us and her. And she was like, ‘Guys, are you okay? Here’s the deal.’ She gave us really personal advice that I think we all cherished”
KATSEYE also discussed their upcoming Super Bowl ad, which has them dancing to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On a Prayer,” a song they briefly performed during “The Tonight Show.”
KATSEYE, which was created through the competition series “The Debut: Dream Academy,” is co-managed by Geffen Records of Universal Music Group and K-pop giant HYBE.
Since making their debut in June 2024, the group has gained recognition for songs like “Touch,” “Gnarly,” and “Gabriela.”
The group received nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the most recent Grammy Awards for their song “Gabriela.”
