Jed Madela discussed what he is most looking forward to performing alongside other Kapamilya musicians Martin Nievera, Klarisse de Guzman, Jona Viray, and Sofronio Vasquez at the Champions of the Heart concert next month. After winning six gold medals at the World Championship of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in 2005, the singing champion first made the nation proud. He acknowledged that it was an automatic yes for him to join in this show.

He is known for his powerful vocal performances and numerous accolades including multiple Awit Awards and a win on The Voice of The Philippines, has always maintained a demanding schedule. His recent projects, including concerts, studio recordings, and mentoring roles, have contributed to a hectic lifestyle.

Along with the top OPM artists in the nation, he also wanted to build expectations for his fans who are coming to see him play live on Valentine’s Day.

Jed also discussed losing weight to make himself appear thinner during the Champions of the Heart news conference.

In a heartfelt revelation, the multi-awarded vocalist shared the true reason behind the change, citing the physical and emotional toll of his busy career.

Fans have expressed both concern and support over Jed’s condition, flooding social media with messages of encouragement. Many admire his openness and vulnerability in discussing his health and well-being.

The singer also revealed plans to take a short break to focus on his health and recuperate. He emphasized the importance of balance and self-care, especially for artists who are often under tremendous pressure.

“I’m grateful for all the opportunities, but I’m learning that it’s okay to slow down sometimes,” Jed said.

Despite the challenges, Jed Madela remains optimistic about the future. He is committed to returning stronger and continuing to share his music with the world.

“Music has always been my life, and I’ll keep doing it, but now with more awareness about my limits,” he added.
