(UPDATE) After a legal battle with the agency, K-pop sensations Haerin and Hyein of the girl group NewJeans are rejoining their label ADOR.

“Haerin and Hyein of NewJeans have decided to continue their activities with ADOR,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The announcement comes after a period of legal tension between the two idols’ families and ADOR’s management. Earlier reports revealed that Haerin and Hyein’s parents had filed complaints against the agency, citing “trust issues” following the internal power struggle between ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin and its parent company HYBE Corporation.

Negotiations reportedly intensified over the past month, with representatives from both sides seeking a settlement that would protect the artists’ rights while ensuring the group’s stability. Industry insiders say that the new agreement includes “clearer terms” regarding artistic direction, management transparency, and the members’ involvement in future creative projects.

ADOR expressed optimism about the resolution, emphasizing that the company is “committed to rebuilding trust and fostering an environment where all NewJeans members can thrive creatively and personally.”

HYBE, ADOR’s parent company, also released a brief comment saying it “respects the decision made by all parties involved” and will continue to support NewJeans’ global activities.

Following the announcement, the hashtag #HaerinAndHyeinAreBack quickly trended on X (formerly Twitter), as fans worldwide expressed relief and joy at the news.

“NewJeans are finally whole again. We’ve been waiting for this!” one fan wrote.
“We just want the girls to be happy and continue doing what they love,” another posted.

The group—known for chart-topping hits like “Super Shy,” “ETA,” and “Ditto”—has maintained strong popularity across Asia and beyond, despite the turbulence surrounding their management in recent months.

With Haerin and Hyein now back with ADOR, NewJeans is expected to resume group activities soon, possibly preparing for an upcoming project or international tour. Industry observers predict that ADOR will focus on reestablishing the group’s unified image and rebuilding public trust through transparent communication and strong performances.
