A local businessman tragically lost his life last night after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds while riding his motorcycle in Mercedes Village, situated within Barangay New Buswang, Kalibo.

According to preliminary reports, the victim, identified as Ryan Relator from Poblacion, Banga, was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with gunshot wounds in multiple areas of his body. Regrettably, the Kalibo Philippine National Police (PNP) has since confirmed that Mr. Relator passed away at midnight earlier today while undergoing medical treatment at the hospital.

Following the incident, law enforcement authorities recovered a total of at least six cartridge cases, consistent with those typically associated with a caliber .45 firearm. These cartridges are considered potential evidence and are believed to have been discharged during the commission of the crime.

An investigation revealed that the victim was actively streaming on Facebook Live via his cellphone moments before he was shot and subsequently fell from the motorcycle he was operating. Presently, law enforcement authorities are conducting a comprehensive inquiry aimed at uncovering both the motive behind the shooting and the identity of the individual responsible for this heinous crime.
