This is what the TV host and comedian had to say regarding ABS-CBN’s news that “It’s Showtime” would be moved to GMA Network’s GTV on July 1, 2023.
ABS-CBN stated on June 20 that the Kapamilya noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” will no longer be shown on TV5.
In a social media post, the comedian stated that while the move of “It’s Showtime” to GMA Network’s GTV was unexpected, it represents a new chapter for the Kapamilya noontime variety program. He also advised madlang people to take a deep breath and keep calm.
“Dear ‘It’s Showtime’ family, alam kong nagulat kayo. Naguguluhan. Natatakot. Nalulungkot. Naiiyak. Haaaaay! Hingang malalim,” he stated in his post. “May kaguluhan at kabilisan ang mga ganap. Gayunpaman, kalma lang (at least try).”
Despite the network transfer, Vice maintained that “madlang people” will remain the home of the noontime show’s hosts and staffs. He even described them as “totoong tahanan”.
The comedian also stated that they will continue to go forward regardless of the difficulties they face. He went on to thank the “Madlang People” in his social media post, adding that they will continue to offer happiness and hope.
