A female teacher asked DepEd to supply an air conditioner for the school’s classroom. “Kawawa na po ang mga bata sa sobrang init.”
Yannie Lim, a user of Facebook, publicizes her petition to the Department of Education. Lim, a Rizal teacher, posted on the internet about the problem of severe heat in classrooms, claiming that electric fans are not efficient enough.
The teacher begged for the school calendar to be shifted from June to March, or for air conditioning systems to be installed in classrooms.
The post concluded with a touching statement from the teacher, who expressed displeasure and fear for their own health as a result of high blood pressure induced by the difficult classroom settings.
