Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama is making round on social media following after the video footage that went viral online with spark of criticism.

On the video appeared the 78-year-old priest kissing a child on the lips, after that, he was asking to suck his tongue. (Click video link to watch the actual footage).

The incidence was taking place in the Indian town of Dharamsala back in the month of February but only on Monday, April 10, 2023 the video became controversial spreading on the online world like wildfire.

As you can see on the video, the boy was approaching the highest spiritual leader and the head of the country of Tibet for just a hug, but the Dalai Lama points his cheek to be kissed by the boy saying “first here” then, after the kiss the Dalai Lama says “suck my tongue” and he bend his forehead to get closer to the young boy.

The video clip uploaded and immediately garnered more than million views all over the world and many were shocked and seems cannot believe of the Dalai Lama’s actions, as a matter of fact some were leaving comments saying “sick and pedophilic.”

According to report, His Holiness is normally teasing people he meets in a playful way without malice even before cameras and in a public places.

Because of the incident, the Buddhist priest expressed sentiments and regrets and he also apologizes to the boy and his family and to all the Dalai Lama’s friends all over the world for his words that may hurt them.

On the other hand, it is a tradition in Tibetan to stick out the tongue as it a sign of respect or agreement, but of course to suck the tongue is another reason behind it.
