Tuesday rain is expected in some areas of the Visayas, Mindanao, and the Bicol Region due to a low pressure area (LPA), according to the state weather service PAGASA.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather bulletin, the low pressure area was last observed 705 kilometers to the east of Davao City.

According to state meteorologists, the LPA will likely cause cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the Visayas, Mindanao, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate.

This indicates that moderate to severe rainfall may cause flooding or landslides in certain locations.

The northern portions of the Philippines, which are looking for a continuous harvest of onions to lower the commodity’s rising costs in the nation, are not expected to be impacted by the LPA, according to weather forecaster Veronica Torres.

“Sa ngayon medyo nananatiling mababa yung tsansa na magpapaulan siya dito sa may bandang north Luzon dahil–so nakikita natin mostly mas didikit ito sa bandang Mindanao area at may tsansa na maaaring manatili siya doon or maaaring mag-cross siya sa may bandang Mindanao po,” she said.

(For the time being, there is a limited chance that it will bring rain to north Luzon; it is mainly expected to stick to or traverse the Mindanao land mass.)

Cagayan Valley, Quezon, Aurora, Marinduque, and the rest of the Bicol Region may have cloudy skies and rain as a result of the northeast monsoon, also known as the amihan.

Due to the amihan, Metro Mania and the rest of Luzon will also experience partly overcast to cloudy sky with light rainfall.
