NAIA had issues on New Year’s Day, which President Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte addressed.
President Bongbong Marcos is a vlogger in addition to being the country’s leader. He was already doing vlogs before becoming president, and his channel has millions of followers. The most recent one he shared was with Vice President Sara Duterte.
However, the upload appears to have occurred at an inconvenient time. The video was shared in the midst of a national crisis. Flights in the Philippines have all been canceled in the new year, affecting thousands of passengers, the majority of whom are rushing back to work.
On January 1, a technical glitch shut down the country’s airspace until the afternoon of that day. The Civil Aviation Authority’s Air Traffic Management Center stated that technical issues were to blame, and a total of 268 flights were canceled that day.
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista blamed a “problem with the power supply” for the issue.

In the midst of this crisis, the country’s president and vice president shared a vlog in which Duterte played the role of a fortune teller. She made a joke about the president having a granddaughter this year.
As for their New Year’s resolution, they would like to get more sleep.
“Matulog ng mas mahabang oras—paabutin ng 8 hours ‘yung tulog, ‘wag lang 5 hours,” Duterte said which was followed by Marcos, “Halos ganoon din kagaya nung kay Inday (Sara). Talaga kailangan na matuto ako na magpahinga dahil nagkakasakit na hindi na dapat mangyari yun.”
