Authorities have reported rain-related people passed away as Typhoon Paeng approaches.
Typhoon Paeng is just making landfall in the southern Philippines, but individuals who passed away have already been reported due to heavy rains in some areas.
According to an ABS-CBN News report, as of this writing, 13 deaths have been recorded, with 10 of them recorded in Datu Blah Sinsuat on Mindanao Island and three (3) recorded in the nearby neighbor town of Datu Odin Sinsuat.
According to the report, Naguib Sinarimbo, Cotabato Civil Defense Chief for the Regional Government and spokesman, also said seven (7) individuals are currently missing.
Typhoon Paeng has caused storm warnings in various parts of the country.
Paeng is anticipated to bring heavy to torrential rains to the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Samar, and Eastern Samar.
Rains of moderate to heavy intensity are presumed over Western Visayas, Marinduque, Romblon, and Quezon.
