The reputation of the TV personality has received criticism before. After being selected as the new brand ambassador for the popular online marketplace Shopee, Gonzaga recently gained attention.

Then, her critics requested that she be boycotted and that the app be taken down. Gonzaga thanked her critics for “the mentions, for the interaction because they are also one of the reasons why we are here where we are today,” despite their criticism.
