“Rewind,” the married couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ comeback film, did well at the box office.
Local ticket sales have brought in P815 million as of January 17.
As a result, it is currently the highest-grossing Filipino movie at the domestic box office.
It has surpassed Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’s “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which brought in P691 million in 2019, and KathNiel’s “The Hows of Us,” which brought in P690 million at the box office in 2018.
“#SalamatLods! Damang dama namin ang greatest love, Mo! [emojis],” Star Cinema said after the good news.
Along with the Philippines, “Rewind” is currently screening in the USA, Canada, Guam, and Spain. With P845 million in earnings thus far, it appears like “Rewind” will beat “Hello, Love Goodbye” once more, with a projected total worldwide gross of P880 million.
If Marian and Dingdong’s movie achieves success, it will hold the title of “highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.”
