A statement has been given by the Vietnamese non-showbiz girl who is currently involved in the controversial breakup of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. This Vietnamese girl has been pointed out by some netizens as allegedly having a secret affair and believed with relationship to the actor in 2023, while the 28-year-old actor and recording artist was still in a relationship with Kathryn.

On Monday, January 15, 2024, a Vietnamese woman named Min Phuong or “Emma” emerged on Instagram. In her post, she strongly denied the accusations of having a relationship with Daniel. According to Emma, her life was peaceful until it changed last year when she became the target of Daniel’s fans and supporters who sent various messages to her social media accounts.

She suspects that she got entangled in the breakup of Daniel and Kathryn after personally meeting the Kapamilya actor during his vacation in Vietnam with some friends. Emma recounted that their first encounter happened when Daniel visited her brother’s bar in Vietnam last year.

According to Emma, she knows Daniel as a famous actor in the Philippines, she approached Daniel with his group to greet them. Emma’s post, accompanied by screenshots of messages from KathNiel fans, can be read in her caption.

“Hello, my name is Minh Phuong (Emma) Since last year, I have received a lot of messages from fans and supporters of Daniel Padilla, a famous actor in the Philippines.
“It is known that Daniel visited Vietnam last year with his friends. Prior to his visit in my country, I have never met him.
“My brother owns the bar that Daniel went to. My brother told me that Daniel is there and I can say Hi to him because I know he is a famous actor.
“I saw Daniel and his friends in the bar, exchanged a few words, and then I went back home with my sister. That is the end of my interaction with him.”

Some netizens suspect that “Johnnymoonlightz” is a dummy account on Daniel’s Instagram.

“I know you guys love and appreciate your idol. I also feel the same to the artists I support, but please be civilized and polite.
“Please be a cultured person. You guys have threatened my life and my job, sent messages and spammed my family and friends.
“This is something I would not wish to happen to anyone.
“A lot of you guys think that I am someone important, but I want to ask the question: are you accusing me with no proof and all speculations?
“To be clear, I do not know who Johnnymoonlightz is, and I do not care who he is either.”

Lastly, Emma appealed to the public to stop bashing her, especially since there is no solid evidence linking her to the deterioration of Daniel and Kathryn’s relationship.

“I am a common Vietnamese citizen. I work, hang out with my friends, meet people, and live my life normally.
“I hope you maintain dignity and respect when coming to my social media, and please do not act without thinking.”

On November 30, 2023, Kathryn and Daniel confirmed the end of their eleven-year relationship. The alleged third party in their breakup include Andrea Brillantes, who reportedly personally met with Kathryn to disclose her connection with Daniel.

Apart from Andrea, several other well-known personalities were linked to their separation after Kathryn’s older sister, Kaye Bernardo, posted on Instagram and Facebook on January 12. This came following Kathryn’s decision to unfollow Daniel and three other fellow actresses: Liza Soberano, Julia Barretto, and Gillian Vicencio.
