Anticipation is building as the nursing community eagerly awaits the release of the November 2023 nurse licensure examination (NLE) results. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Nursing (BoN) are set to unveil the comprehensive list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top-performing schools, and overall performance of schools. This highly anticipated revelation is expected to occur between November 22 and December 1, or within 8-14 working days after the conclusion of the second regular NLE held on November 11 and 12, 2023.

The second regular NLE took place across various locations, including Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Kidapawan, and Palawan. As aspiring nurses dedicatedly put their knowledge and skills to the test during this examination, the upcoming release of results will not only signify individual achievements but will also shed light on the collective performance of schools in shaping the future of nursing professionals.

Nursing hopefuls and stakeholders alike are encouraged to stay tuned to official announcements from the PRC and BoN for the latest updates regarding the NLE results, marking a crucial moment for those who undertook the examination and the institutions that played a role in their educational journey.

The individuals responsible for administering the licensure examination are as follows: Elsie A. Tee, serving as the Chairman, and supported by board members Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Elizabeth C. Lagrito, Zenaida C. Gagno, Marylou B. Ong, Merle L. Salvani, and Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

NLE’s verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC’s “Verification of Rating” service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The two-day exam covered competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows: patient care, empowering, enabling and enhancing competencies.

The five (5) parts of the NLE are the following:

  • Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
  • Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
  • Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations – Part A)
  • Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations – Part B)
    Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations – Part C)

NLE RESULTS RELEASE

In accordance with PRC Resolution No. 1589 s. 2022, the projected release date for the nurse board exam results is set for Friday, December 1, 2023, or within fourteen (14) working days.

It is important to note that the results might be released earlier or later than the target date, and such variations may occur without prior notice. As a precaution, we recommend that exam takers actively monitor result announcements, starting from November 22 or within eight working days. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
