Piolo Pascual Expresses Interest in Portraying Former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

During a recent media conference promoting his concert, “An Ultimate Night With Piolo,” held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on the evening of October 20, Piolo Pascual, the quintessential heartthrob, made a surprising revelation. Pascual expressed his desire to take on the role of former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., who is the father of the current president of the Philippines, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., or PBBM.

This disclosure follows Pascual’s previous portrayal of one of Marcos’s harshest critics, former senator Ninoy Aquino. The actor’s eagerness to embody “Macoy” showcases his dedication to his craft and his willingness to explore multifaceted roles, even those deeply embedded in the country’s political history.

“This one is intriguing. All my life, I wanted to do a story about Marcos. Ferdinand Marcos. I grew up not during Martial law. I was born in 1977. ”

“But I was alive during the EDSA Revolution. So, I grew up during Marcos’ time. So yun lang. Nagawa ko na yung NInoy sa ‘MMK’ and I find that person interesting.”

“Siguro in three years, kapag may edad na ako. Thirty pa lang kasi ako ngayon eh.”
