Amadeus Fernando Pagente, popularly known as the drag queen ‘Pura Luka Vega,’ has raised eyebrows for the second time as he failed to appear at his preliminary investigation in Manila. This absence adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding his case. Pura Luka Vega’s real-life identity remains entwined with this legal matter, leaving many to wonder about the reasons behind his repeated no-shows in court.

This development comes on the heels of yet another hearing conducted by the Manila City Prosecutors Office, focused on the case filed against Vega by the Hijos del Nazareno.

Representatives and affiliates of the Hijos del Nazareno organization were present during the court proceedings.

As per their claims, Vega stands accused of violating Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code by purportedly engaging in actions that were perceived as disrespectful towards the Lord Nazarene and for presenting a unique interpretation of the sacred prayer, “Ama Namin.”
