Typhoon Goring OUT, Typhoon Hanna Enters Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)

Following the departure of Typhoon Goring from the country, Typhoon Hanna entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) within a few hours.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a notification indicating that at 9:00 in the evening, the typhoon bearing the international name “Haikui” entered the PAR.

As of the latest update, the typhoon was located 1,335 kilometers east of the northern tip of Luzon, moving at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour (kph), with sustained winds of 95 kph and gusts reaching up to 115 kph.

The typhoon’s impact is expected to extend 300 kilometers from its center.

According to PAGASA’s forecast, this typhoon is likely to enhance the southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Goring was last observed 265 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes, already outside the PAR.
