Goring Maintains its strength as it moves northward over the Philippine Sea. PAGASA stated, “At 3:00 PM today, the center of the eye of Typhoon “GORING” {SAOLA} was estimated based on all available data at 260 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan or 260 km East Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora (17.5°N, 124.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 190 km/h. It is moving Northward at 15 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.”

FORECAST:

The whole Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with occasional rains/monsoon rains / scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon.
Moderate to Strong winds from West to Southwest will prevail over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro with moderate to rough seas.
