Ogie Diaz, a talent manager and entertainment YouTube vlogger, defends renowned comedian Joey de Leon after he was criticized for his deep jokes.

In the newest episode of Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update, Ogie Diaz, Mama Loi, and Tita Jegs looked at netizens’ remarks regarding TV host comedian Joey De Leon’s recent postings.

Joey was defended by the entertainment vlogger to netizens who concerned with his serious jokes becoming increasingly common.

“Actually yaan, noon pa man, ganyan na si tito Joey sa mga ganyan niyang pahirit. ‘Yan din kasi ang nagpapalakas ng panonood ng mga tao e. ‘Ay baka may sabihin ulit si Joey kailangan live marinig ko na hindi yung mabasa ko lang dahil viral,” Ogie explained.

What matters, he says, is that his many jokes are not personal attacks.

“Feeling ko, yun ang ano ni Joey. ‘Yung goal niya is ma-viral ule at mas ma-curious pa ‘yung mga tao na manood sa live. Ang importante, hindi personalan na atake,”  Ogie said.
