Willie Nepomuceno, a comedian most known for impersonating Philippine celebrities and politicians, died on Wednesday, July 26. He was 75.

His family said on his Facebook page that their beloved father “has peacefully joined our creator.”

Nepomuceno was widely recognized for impersonating politicians such as former President Joseph Estrada and former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, along with other well-known individuals like with Dolphy, Manny Pacquiao, and Vic Sotto. His impersonations frequently expose imperfections in Philippine politics and culture.

Aside from being a performer, Nepomuceno was a cartoonist whose work appeared in many local publications. He was also a journalist who wrote humorous columns for a broadsheet on the Philippine government and wealthy people.

His funeral arrangements will be revealed soon. “We ask for your continued prayers,” stated his children.

The cause of death was not disclosed, however Nepomuceno suffered from a brain stroke in 2016. He took a two-year break before returning in 2018 for a concert with OPM artist Nonoy Zuiga.
