According to the state weather bureau PAGASA, the southwest monsoon will bring overcast to rainy weather to portions of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather report for the country on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. The southwest monsoon will have an impact on the country’s weather.
PAGASA detected a Low Pressure Area 970 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas. The southwest monsoon, or habagat, will bring overcast skies and rain showers to the western area of southern Luzon.
Over Palawan, Habagat is forecast to deliver overcast skies with occasional rain showers and thunderstorms.
Over the whole Visayas and Occidental Mindoro, the Southwest Monsoon/Localized thunderstorms will produce partly overcast to cloudy sky with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The weather in Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be similar.
The Weather agency has issued a warning to the public about the possibility of flash floods or landslides caused by moderate to heavy rainfall and strong thunderstorms.
