Jose Manalo, a veteran comedian-host, stated that Buboy Villar contacted him the night before the premiere of the new Eat Bulaga on GMA.

In an interview, Jose Manalo was questioned what he would say to the new Eat Bulaga hosts if they ever met. According to a source, his response was, “Wala, iko-congrats ko lang sila. Good job kasi may trabaho sila.”

Then he disclosed that Buboy Villar had contacted him and apologized to him. “Si Buboy, the night before ng live ay tumawag sa akin. Umiiyak talaga. [Sabi niya], ‘Kuya Jose, sorry,'” Jose revealed.

Buboy is close to him, according to the seasoned comedienne-host, since the two have worked on projects together in the past. “Alaga rin natin si Buboy. Wala namang problema,” he explained.

Jose Manalo further emphasized that there is no need to compare the old and new Eat Bulaga hosts.

“Syempre iba ‘yung atake namin sa atake nila, so hindi pwedeng magkapareho halos talaga,” the veteran comic-host explained.
