Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola, the comedy team, reportedly rejected  a P2-million offer from Television and Production Exponents Inc (TAPE) to stay with Eat Bulaga.

Cristy claimed to have obtained information from a source about the Php2 million offered by TAPE to Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.

Cristy spoke on what TAPE would have promised the two ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts if they had remained on the show. According to her, someone contacted Jose and Wally to join Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

“May tumawag po kay Jose at Wally na huwag sumama sa Tito, Vic at Joey. At agaran daw po, padadalhan sila ng tsekeng tig 2 million peso,” she explained.

“Hindi po nila pinatulan ‘yung two million pesos… at iyon na nga po isang grupo ang Dabarkads sumama sa Tito, Vic at Joey,” she said on her show.

However, mere hours after TVJ departed from Eat Bulaga’s producer, TAPE Inc, the other hosts released their resignation letters to TAPE public. Among those who signed the letter were Jose and Wally, who chose to join TVJ.
