In response to the bad weather, some local governments imposed class suspensions.

A Low Pressure Area was observed 130 kilometers southeast of Cuyo, Palawan, and formed within the Intertropical Convergence Zone, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.

The LPA and ITCZ will have an impact on southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

In consideration to the probable risks posed by the weather disturbance, numerous local governments and colleges issued class cancellations on (Thursday) May 4, 2023. This decision was made in compliance with the safety protocols as well as suggestions of local government units and disaster risk reduction and management councils.
