Fr. Conrado Mantac was sent to the Most Holy Rosary Parish in Barangay Paraiso, Sagay, and was placed on administrative leave after the Diocese of San Carlos received the report in December, according to San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza.

On March 27, a Catholic Priest accused for rápe was caught at Camelot Subdivision, Barangay Estefania, Bacolod.

Fr. Conrado Mantac was facing criminal charges in Sagay City in 2023 for the alleged rape of a 17-year-old choir girl, but no bail was given for his temporary liberty, according to the police.

The claimed accident happened when the priest was on assignment in Sagay City.

Mantac was appointed to the Most Holy Rosary Parish in Barangay Paraiso, Sagay, and was put on leave for administrative reasons after the Diocese of San Carlos received the accusation in December.

Alminaza promises that the Diocese of San Carlos will collaborate completely with civil officials and follow the legal system, allowing the truth to be revealed and justice to be served.

Authorities, lawyers, and all parties concerned must carry out their responsibilities “honest and truthful manner.”
