President Bongbong Marcos paid his respects to the late Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.

The passing of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo has left his supporters saddened and concerned about the state of their community. On March 4, 2023, he was attacked at his own house in Pamplona.

According to GMA News, President Bongbong Marcos recently flew to Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, to pay his respects to the late Negros Oriental former Gov. Roel Degamo’s grieving family. The Governor’s wife and their two (2) boys survived.

Apart from offering his sympathies to the late Governor’s family, President Bongbong Marcos also spoke with the families of the other victims and promised them that justice will be done. He also asked as to what might be done to help the victims, especially those who are receiving care in the hospital.

“Sinabi ko lang sa kanila na makakaasa sila na magkakaroon ng hustisya dito sa inyong probinsya na naging masyadong magulo,” he stated.
