Taguig Court grants Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro to Post Bail

The Taguig Court grants the motion of comedian and television host Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro to post bail for his temporary liberty. Court has allowed TV host and comedian Vhong Navarro to post bail, according to his lawyer Atty. Alma Mallonga.

In granting Navarro’s bail plea, the Taguig court said the complainant’s credibility is the most critical issue in r*pe. Court says inconsistencies in Cornejo’s affidavits were too material to ignore.

Taguig court also said that while Cornejo claimed she was drugged, she testified she was not sure about it.

Court also said Cornejo’s actions after the alleged r*pe, particularly the text messages she sent Navarro and the “preening at herself and giggling,” are inconsistent with a claim of trauma or someone who underwent a painful ordeal.

Taguig court ruled evidence presented so far failed to establish materials allegations in the information or criminal charge.

The court said Cornejo confirmed Navarro had no weapon, and did not threaten or intimidate her nor beat her up.

Court added Cornejo was able to text, talk, walk, change her clothes and leave her condo unit to sleep at her friend’s place after Navarro supposedly r*ped her. Cornejo confirmed she was not unconscious nor fully deprived of her willpower.
