Kylie Verzosa, a former beauty queen turned actress, is the new Tanduay Calendar Girl for 2023, and she is overjoyed.

Kylie received acting recognition prior to the announcement that she would be the liquor brand’s calendar girl. She was named Best Actress at the 6th Dubai International Arab Festival Awards for her performance in “The Housemaid.”

Her joy was extended when she was named the face of Tanduay for the next year. She took over for Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo as the brand’s calendar girl.

According to an article in The Philippine Star, Kylie Verzosa said in an interview after her launch that it feels surreal to be the new Tanduay calendar girl because big names in the industry were also hailed as calendar girls before her.

“It feels surreal to become a Tanduay Calendar Girl, especially if you consider all the strong and beautiful women who came before me like Heart Evangelista, KC Concepcion, and Bea Alonzo. It feels great to be in their company,” She stated.

Tanduay Distillers’ Senior Brand Manager and International Business Development Manager, Inc. According to Marc Ngo, Kylie is qualified to be the brand’s calendar girl because she is an actress, a beauty queen, and an advocate for mental health.

He described Kylie as having “beauty and brains,” in addition to being a multitalented celebrity. “She is the perfect embodiment of the brand for 2023 as we seek to engage with diverse customer profiles in different markets while continuing to serve our customers in the Philippines,” the brand’s manager said.

Kylie understands the responsibilities that come with being Tanduay’s calendar girl. She stated that the brand has been a part of many Filipinos’ lives for more than a century. The actress also believes that, despite the emergence of new brands in the market, Tanduay has been able to retain customers.

Kylie Verzosa also stated that she appreciates Tanduay’s use of local ingredients in the production of rum. “It’s fantastic to see a Filipino brand competing on the global stage,” the actress said.
