One of the longest-running K-pop boy bands is returning to the Philippines in December, keeping its promise to return with more shows after postponing its single-day concert in August.
The Philippine leg of Super Junior’s “Super Show 9” tour will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 17 and 18, according to local concert producer PULP Live World.
Tickets, priced from P3,500 to P12,000, will be available beginning November 30 through the SM Tickets website and outlets.
The concert was supposed to take place last August, but it was abruptly canceled due to the death of member Eunhyuk’s father.
Another member, Siwon, was also unable to fly to Manila at the time due to a positive COVID-19 test.
The members who arrived in the country — Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun — still appeared in front of fans at the Mall of Asia Arena to apologize and perform a few songs.
Super Junior, who debuted in 2005 under SM Entertainment, has been credited with helping to expand K-global pop’s popularity with catchy hits such as “Sorry, Sorry,” “Bonamana,” and “Mr. Simple.”
