On Friday, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla stated that they are extremely close to identifying the k!ller of broadcaster Percy Lapid.

Remulla made the statement during an unexpected interview wherein he expressed confidence that proper cases would be filed by the end of next week.

“It’s very satisfactory. I think we made a lot of progress. I think that we can—the proper cases can be filed by the end of next week, hopefully,” Remulla stated.

When questioned if this intended mastermind had already been identified, Remulla replied, “very possible.”

“It’s possible, very possible. We have to evaluate everything properly pa. Basta ako, I’m just guiding the investigation,” he stated.

He stated that four persons of interest (POI) in the case had provided statements.

Remulla stated that the statements have so far justified each other.

Meanwhile, Remulla stated that forensic pathologist Dr. Raquel Fortun may be prepared to present the findings of her autopsy on Jun Villamor, the purported middleman in the k!lling, on Saturday.
