Belle is the award’s first Filipina winner.

On Monday, September 5, Belle Mariano was chosen as one of the recipients of the Outstanding Asian Star Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2022 in celebration of her participation in He’s Into Her.

The Filipina actress, 20, beat off 175 male and female Asian actresses to become one of the five honorees chosen by global fans.

Along with Belle, the prize was given to China’s Wallace Chung, Japan’s Yusei Yagi, Taiwan’s Alice Ko, and Thailand’s Krit Amnuaydechkorn.

Belle is the fifth celebrity from the Philippines to win the award, and the first Filipina. Gabby Concepcion, Dennis Trillo, Alden Richards, and Dingdong Dantes were previously honored.

The Seoul International Drama Awards, founded in 2006, is a festival that strives to bring together worldwide TV drama productions and promote cultural diversity.

Belle is most recognized for her parts in the films Four Sisters Before the Wedding and Love Is Color Blind, in addition to He’s Into Her.
