On Monday, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio virtually met with former Education Secretary Leonor Briones and other Department of Education and private education partners.

She promised that she would address private schools’ issues and come up with acceptable and effective answers.

Duterte-Carpio emphasized the need to assist private schools in returning students to their classes.

“Our task here is to protect our children and ensure that quality education is made accessible for them — whether they are enrolled in private or public schools, whether they are in the cities or the countryside. We look forward to forging a productive partnership with you,” Duterte-Carpio added.

The Private Education Office of the Department of Education has committed to assist the DepEd chief’s priority projects and education systems.
