Of what has long been a well-guarded secret. Raymond Gutierrez, a member of the well-known Gutierrez family, eventually acknowledged being g@y in 2021. The pandemic brought him many realizations, which pushed him to finally confront his truth.
He is conscious of the ridicule and condemnation that may follow his coming out, but he is grateful that the people who mattered to him surrounded him with love and support. He expressed gratitude to his family and friends.
And he wanted individuals in difficult situations to understand that their s*xuality is just a part of who they are. He had a platform and a desire to empower them. He also stated that it is only one facet of who they are and will not automatically define them.
It is liberating to come out for him. He felt liberated, and he is thankful that his family accepts his truth. Being g@y in the past was difficult for him because, in his words, “being g@y before is different from being g@y now”.
According to PEP, he continued, “Andaming nag-DM [direct message] sa akin, ‘Because of your interview, I had the courage to talk to my family about my s*xuality. I got inspired to live my authentic self, my authentic life, and really start living my life to the fullest.”
Mond confessed in the same story that he is currently in a relationship with someone based in America.
