According to an authorized resolution by the municipal council, kapuso actress Ai-Ai Delas Alas and director Darryl Yap have both been deemed persona non grata, or “unwelcome individuals” in Quezon City.

The resolution, submitted by Councilor Ivy Lagman of Quezon Municipal’s fourth district, accused the two artists of defacing the city seal in a video uploaded on the Vincentiments, Yap’s production company’s Facebook page.

Delas Alas played “Ligaya Delmonte,” a spoof on incumbent mayor Joy Belmonte, who sat in front of an altered and disfigured rendition of the triangle Quezon City seal.

Instead, the wording on the seal read “BBM” and “Sara,” referring to President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Delas Alas and Yap were both vocal supporters of the UniTeam tandem, which supported Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor’s mayoral campaign.

Belmonte, on the other hand, won a second consecutive term, defeating Defensor by nearly 240,000 votes.
