During the “Ultimate Reigns” gala night at the Hilton Manila grand ballroom recently, the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization presented the new crown for its 2022 winner.

The “La Mer en Majeste” crown, designed by Jewelmer, had a large number of South Sea golden pearls.

The golden South Sea pearl is the Philippines’ National Gem, a bright emblem of man’s harmonious relationship with nature that captures the Filipino spirit. The Miss Universe Philippines Organization and Jewelmer saw this crown as a tribute to the sea’s grandeur, as the queen of the elements.

“Generous and powerful, she provided the world with this precious gem and contributed the crowned jewel to this exceptional masterpiece, the illustrious Miss Universe Philippines Crown,” Jewelmer said on Instagram.

The new Miss Universe Philippines crown was introduced to the joy of both contestants and onlookers by Jewelmer CEO Jacques Cristophe Branellec, MUPH national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee, and outgoing Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez. The evening began out with a fashion show, with all of the contenders dressed up in their finest. Each set of eight females was dressed in one of four Creamsilk colors: subtle gold, pink, red, or green. After that, the Cavaso pret-a-porter designs were showcased on another runway segment. The female Mercator models walked with the male Mercator models down the catwalk. The Lento collection included athletic-inspired cuts, whilst the Constant line offered more streetwear-inspired items.

The Caution design included layered and mix-and-match pieces, while the Arqua collection featured shift dresses and matches. The Glamoreaux collection featured cocktail/club wear, smoking clothes, and evening pieces with intriguing accents. Katrina Llegado of Taguig City was a sight to behold in an amazing corset top above a long skirt of tiered frills. The hour-and-a-half fashion spectacle, which was hosted by Nico Locco and aired live on Empire PH’s YouTube page, was a huge success.

The crowning night is expected to be a night of glitz, opulence, and surprises. With the support of refined and experienced important members of the MUPH Board, the MUPH hopes to lead the top 32 delegates in discovering their individual best selves via the nationwide quest. As a result, the delegates should inspire others to realize their full potential. The organization guarantees that towns and provinces around the archipelago are properly represented through its Accreditation Partnership Program, allowing the world to see the distinct and moving aspects of Philippine culture as seen through the eyes of the delegates.

Besides ensuring that the Philippines is well-represented on both the national and international stages, trying to promote Philippine tourism, as well as existing charity collaborations and the candidates’ respective advocacies, the MUPH organization also partners with brands in 2022 and beyond that have uniquely beautiful causes.
