Sharon Cuneta, the “Megastar,” laughed off viral footage showing her endorsing an unnamed product to a person on stage during her vice presidential candidate husband’s campaign sortie.

On March 11, the entertainment legend accompanied vice presidential candidate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and his running mate, presidential candidate Leni Robredo, to a rally in Bacolod City at Negros Occidental.

Sharon reposted a video from a fan who spotted that she looked to be promoting a packaged item to an elderly seatmate in the foreground as Robredo was giving a speech.

The seasoned actress withdrew the item from the box at one point, while her seatmate took out his iPhone and appeared to photograph the merchandise.

Her spouse, on the other hand, was completely uninformed of the situation.

The incident drew the attention of several Filipinos, who uploaded video and images of it on social media.

Some assumed that Sharon was marketing an antibacterial product, while others joked that she was pushing a sore throat syrup.

Sharon responded with a number of emoticons, including crying-with-tears emojis and dazzling heart emojis.

She did not, however, reveal what was going on behind the scenes.

It was reported to be the biggest rally of their supporters thus far throughout the campaign. Robredo’s vice presidential campaign in Negros Occidental in 2016 received a landslide vote.
