The bandleader of Parokya ni Edgar, has denied that they will perform at a Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte campaign event.
Parokya tweeted a screenshot of a Facebook post claiming and promoting the band’s inclusion in the presidential and vice presidential hopefuls’ Zamboanga campaign sortie on the band’s official Facebook page.
The band stated in the caption, “This is not true.”
Parokya ni Edgar will perform with Cong TV, Zack Tabudlo, Kamikazee, Agsunta, Philia, and Toni Gonzaga, according to the post. Blaster Silonga of IV of Spades and Zack Tabudlo both denied participating in the mission.
“Seryosong sagot. Kailanman hindi mangyayari ito, ngayon palang sinusunog ko na ang tulay,” Blaster said on Facebook.
“Awit peyk news na nga lang di pa magandang picture ginamit sakin,” Zack stated.
However, Nikki Siena posted a screenshot of her discussion with Agsunta leader Jireh Singson, in which she inquired about their presence in the program.
The post was disputed by Jireh, who called it “false news.”
“Yan minessage ko na si Jireh (vocalist ng Agsunta) to confirm if legit ba na kasali sila sa event ni BBM. Peyk daw mga pare. Paladesisyon naman mga fans ni BabyM,” the Facebook user said.
