A grandpa was déad after the multicab he was travelling in crashed with a trailer truck on the national highway in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, as a result of drag racing. Simeon Calunsag Sr., the victim, diéd at the scene of a vehicle accident at Purok 6, Barangay Hampason of the mentioned municipality. A motorbike piloted by a child was discovered overtaking by police.

Three additional bikes were reportedly involved in drag racing, according to police.

According to Jasaan MPS Chief Police Major Marstar Lorenzo, the minor is already in the custody of MSWD Jasaan and will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, several injuries, and property damage.
