The military takes power in Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi, and other leaders detained

The current condition is that all communications in Myanmar are cut off.
National tv channels & phone services have been cut off for several hours, most of them have lost contact to families. Government officials have been detained, coup has been staged.

Police in Thailand’s capital clashed with a group of demonstrators who were protesting against a coup that took place in Myanmar.

Myanmar declared a state of emergency following the detention of leader Aung San Suu and other figures this morning.

Today Thailand has the protest to stand against the Coup in Myanmar at the Myanmar Embassy but Thai Government decided to disintegrate the protest by using violence with them.

Aung San Suu Kyi, who spent years under house arrest in the struggle to bring democracy to Myanmar, has been detained along with other leaders of her political party. Suu Kyi’s party won a landslide election in 2015, the nation’s first civilian government in half a century.

The Myanmar military sealed off the National League for Democracy’s regional headquarters in Ayeyarwady Region and seized documents from the building on Monday, after staging a coup against the Union government.
