Shangri-La Resort and Spa in Boracay Employees test positive for COVID-19

Shangri-La Hotel statement that those who tested positive of COVID-19 did not exhibit symptoms.

According to the press statement from Shangri-La Hotels, there are a small number of staff members from the Shangri-La Resort and Spa in Boracay tested positive for COVID-19.

“Comprehensive contact tracing has been conducted and as precautionary measure, close contacts of the affected colleagues have also been asked to self-isolate until further notice,” they added.

According to the hotel, they’ve implemented the following safety precautions for when they will reopen:

*Mandatory temperature screening for all our colleagues and guests.
*Employees would be checked twice daily.
*All guests should complete health and travel declaration form upon check-in.
*Increased sanitation of rooms, facilities and public areas.
*Physical distancing enforcement.
*Regular reminders for all staff to remain vigilant and “adopt good personal hygiene.
*Staff to help monitor guests who exhibit signs of illness.
