The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 100 km Southwest of Cotabato City (6.5°N, 123.7°E), embedded along the Intertropical Convergenze Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao and Palawan.

Tail-end of Frontal System (Shear line) affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting over Cebu (CentralCebu, NorthernCebu) which may continue for 2-3 hours.

FORECAST: Cloudy skies with rains will be experienced over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Kalinga, Apayao and Aurora while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan due to Northeast Monsoon.

Moderate to Strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and in Aurora Province. The coastal waters will be rough to very rough.

Some areas in four barangays of San Carlos City in Negros Occidental were flooded following a heavy downpour that caused some of its rivers and creeks to overflow Saturday night. The city government, in a Facebook post, said most of the residents were alarmed. This was the first time they experienced flood water entering their houses.

“Mayor Renato Gustilo rushed to the affected areas to check on the situation while the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) immediately sent out rescuers,” it said, adding that members of the Philippine National Police also helped in the rescue operation.
