Billy admitted that he was “saving grace” with Brightlight Productions because he got a job during the COVID-19 pandemic. Billy confessed all this in his interview with Luchi Cruz-Valdez on the program “Usapang Real Life” on TV5 this past Saturday.

“I’m planning to sell everything and gonna move out of this country. And feels wala, e, I didn’t have a job. You know what I’m saying? And if I did, it wasn’t really sustainable. I couldn’t sustain my family. It was a lot of depressing moments,” said Billy.

Almost all Kapamilya stars felt the same when the network closed, as if heaven and earth had fallen on them.

“It was really a dark period for everyone at ABS-CBN. That includes artists, that includes Pas. I mean, each and every personnel at ABS,” Billy added.

And Billy admitted that he cried for several nights because of what happened on ABS-CBN and he did not know what would happen for his family.

The TV host said directly, “I’m not gonna lie, there are a lot of nights that I cried. There are a lot of nights that I called most of my friends at ABS.”

And even though he is on TV5, he can still talk to the friends left behind on the Kapamilya network.

“And I’m still in touch with my Kapamilya. We are all friends, we are really family. Only other people really give color, ”he explained.

“I’m just really thankful that I have a job. I’m really thankful that I really did what I love to do at my age. I want this to be sustainable for my family, ”Billy said.

So to those who criticized Billy then, now you know what really happened.
