Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Plan to Postpone the Feast of the Black Nazarene on 2021

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno apologized to public and the devotees of Black Nazarene because it is possible that there will be no Traslacion in the coming years as long as there is a pandemic.

According to the Mayor, “”There is no harm in having none for a year or two. Because there still a hundred years, 50 years, 20 years, ten years, five years… to continue to practice yung pamana, yung kustumbre at yung pamamanata.”

Millions of Filipino devotees come to Quiapo every January 9 for the Traslacion or procession of the Black Nazarene. According to Fr.
