PHIVOLCS) recorded a 6.5 magnitude earthquake that jolted Masbate on August 18, 2020. The time of impact is 08:03 AM and the location is 11.96N, 124.03E – 007 km S 29° E of Cataingan (Masbate).

PHIVOLCS said the earthquake did not cause damages so far and there are no aftershocks expected after the event.
