The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology is currently monitoring the ongoing series of earthquakes. The tremors began at 08:59:25 PM Tuesday, July 14, in Cortes (Surigao Del Sur) with a magnitude of 4.6.

PHIVOLCS also recorded the location of the quake, 09.24°N, 126.35°E – 018 km S 77° E of Cortes (Surigao Del Sur), and the Depth of Focus (Km) is 026. There are no casualties that have been damage.

Intensity III – Cortes, Lanuza, and City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur
Intensity II – Carmen, Surigao del Sur
Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity I – City of Surigao, Surigao del Norte
