DOH Confirmed COVID-19 cases Rise to 51,754 as of July 9, 2020

The Philippines records 1,540 new COVID-19 cases — 993 were detected in the last three days, while 547 were part of the DOH’s validation backlog. Total confirmed cases rise to 47,873, with 12,386 recoveries, and 1,309 deaths.

The Department of Health (DOH) provides the latest information on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation in the country, including the actions undertaken by the department in addressing the pandemic, through a ‘Virtual Presser’ on July 9, 2020. 

According to DOH, As of July 09, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 51,754.

In addition to the 1,184 fresh cases, 211 late cases were also reported today. Today’s fresh cases are based on the daily accomplishment reports submitted by only 62 out of 74 current operational labs.

DOH likewise announces 225 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 12,813.
