The ABS-CBN franchise renewal became a hot issue once again when the franchise was denied by the congress.

A total of 70 lawmakers refused to have ABS-CBN’s franchise renewed while only 11 lawmakers voted in favor of the network’s renewal.

Angel Locsin, one of the star celebrities of ABS-CBN, tweeted about the issue. “Tapos na po ang botohan. Kami po ay tulala at hindi alam kung anong gagawin.

“Gusto ko lang pong magpasalamat sa ilang taong pagtanggap po sa amin sa inyong mga tahanan.”

The actress later then uploaded a photo of the “brave” 11 lawmakers who sided with the renewal of the network.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyo, sa mga kasamahan ko sa industriya, nakikiusap ako sa ating pagkakaisa. Huwag nating kalimutan kung sino ang mga politiko at kung sino ang totoong public servants sa kongreso. Kaya natin pag sama sama. Magkaisa tayo,” Angel captioned.
