Senate President Vicente Sotto III thanked Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa for attending the Senate session hall on Tuesday night. This was day after Bato’s remark “sarap ng buhay” later on earns criticism.
“I would like to thank Senator Ronald Dela Rosa for keeping me company,” said Senate President Vicente Sotto III a few minutes before the session was suspended past 9 p.m.
“Mahirap na ang buhay,” Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri jokingly said in response.
A few days away from sine die adjournment, the Senate had a lengthy deliberation on the proposed Bayanihan to Recover as One Act which is being refined to facilitate economic recovery.
Previously, there are Nine (9) senators who were physically present at the session hall on Tuesday, they are; Sotto, Dela Rosa, along with Senators Sonny Angara, Nancy Binay, Sherwin Gatchalian, Panfilo Lacson, Lito Lapid, Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, and Francis Tolentino.
Last week, Senator Dela Rosa exclaimed, “Sarap ng buhay! Sarap ng buhay! Ganito na lang tayo palagi ha? Dela Rosa said after the hybrid session he will be attending virtually has been suspended early.
However, Sen Sotto teased him to attend physically the session on Monday.
That made Dela Rosa made it and even sponsored two bills on the floor.
